John and Adrienne's Cats

My son, John, often travels to California with his partner and kids to see their grandparents. But they have two cats. So I'm lucky enough to have been asked several times to stop by and check on the cats while the humans are away. Here are some photos I took of them on these occasions.

Willie's 6th Birthday

My son, John, and his partner, Adrienne, celebrated her son Willie's birthday with kids from his class and the neighborhood; and a good time was had by all!

John's 44th Birthday Celebration

John's birthday party was fun, with just immediate family in attendance. But with charming and engaging toddlers around, we couldn't have had a better time!

1985: Camping With Steven

By the time John turned 9, he was already quite an experienced camper. However, up until this point, all the camping trips he'd been on had also included the whole family. So I offered to take him and his friend, Steven, on a backpacking trip in the Shenandoah National Park.

John's third grade class was taught by Mrs. Cangiano, who had taught his older sister Jenny the year before. This is the spring class picture.
