As infectious as “Heart and Soul,” with much the same history—here by the Hope Sisters.

Hoagy Carmichael wrote "Heart and Soul" in 1938, with lyrics by Frank Loesser, and its four-chord progression got so ingrained in our culture that every child, even the most musically challenged, could play it as a duet—one kid on the chords, another on the melody. It has been covered in every decade since, and in 1944 the vocal trios, quartets and quintets of the big-band world were still singing it.

This isn't that song. But it's every bit as infectious, and on our alternate Earth it had a similar history. This is the Hope Sisters' recording.
