My father, Walter Sigimund Cilwa, was born at 14 Delancy Street, Manhattan, New York, on December 12, 1901, and died November 11, 1958 when I was 7.

Edna Mae Brown Cilwa (1912-2005)

My mother, Edna Mae Brown Cilwa, was born in Montclair, New Jersey, on June 18, 1912 and died March 11, 2006.

Michael Manion

One of the nicest things about being gay, is that most gay people, after having ended a relationship, remain friends, even close friends, after that end.

Michael Manion was my second gay relationship, my first husband, and now, remains my dear friend and grandfather to our grandchildren.

Get-Togethers

Family is largely about the wonderful times we've had in various get-togethers throughout the years. Here are a number of such occasions (with photos, of course!).

The Family Dogs

I love all animals—yes, even spiders and jellyfish. (Although I admit to being less fond of flies and mosquitoes.) And of course, I love cats. But I am what you would call a dog person. I love all dogs and they all seem to love me. So, of course, I live with dogs when possible. Currently our dogs are Ella and Lilly (pictured). But this section of my site celebrates all the dogs I've loved.
