Written for a Muhammad Ali biopic, I parodied this before Whitney Houston had a chance to disparage Dolly Parton.

Remember Whitney Houston's The Greatest Love of All? Well…not to be outdone, I decided to write a song that was even greater than that one.

Although it wasn't super popular before Houston recorded it, The Greatest Love of All was written in 1977 by Michael Masser and Linda Creed for The Greatest, the Muhammad Ali biopic, in which George Benson's recording was featured. Houston's 1985 version went to number one. Meanwhile, back in 1977 and unaware the song existed, I wrote a self-love song of my own.
