These are free utility applications I've written and am happy to share. They're all built with VB.NET and my own NamtiraLib library, and none of them contain ads, telemetry, or any other nonsense.

I write these tools because I need them myself. When I find myself doing some repetitive task that a small, focused app could handle better, I build one. And since the marginal cost of sharing software is zero, I put them here for anyone else who also might find them useful.

Music players want a square cover image in every album folder, and most of the pictures worth using aren't square, aren't the right size, and don't have the artist's name on them. Create Album Cover fixes all three at once: drop in a photo, type the artist and album, drag the text where you want it, and save. What comes out is exactly 500×500 pixels, which is what your music player is looking for.

Every album was mastered at its own volume. A record from 1975 is quiet; one from 2005 is loud; a compilation is all over the place. So you reach for the volume knob every time the album changes. Music Minder measures each album once, writes a small note into every track saying how much to turn it up or down, and from then on your player does the adjusting for you. Nothing in the audio is changed; the note is just a tag, like the artist's name, and removing it puts everything back exactly as it was.
